'Dude! What up!?!"

We had been at the Dog Park at Diamond Head. Cocoa loves other dogs and had had a great time. The concept of balls had continued to elude her--she just ran with the other dogs and tried to get them to chase her. She's a very strong dog and has tons of energy. Jessica was with us and remarked at one point that Cocoa is "jacked."



There was one Golden Retriever that Cocoa liked in particular. That dog was about Cocoa's age and was very mellow.



Afterwards, we had gone to Diamond Head Grill for lunch. As we were leaving, I was distracted and didn't realize that Jessica hadn't gotten into the car yet.


"Dude! What up!?!" Maia exclaimed from the back seat. "You almost ran over her!"

Maia was exaggerating, but the way she had said what she had said--as though she talked that way all of the time--made me laugh. She's really growing up.

This is a picture of Maia, Jessica and Alex (Kristina's sister's daughter) at a dinner a couple of days after last Saturday's visit at the Dog Park. All of them are such good kids.
